Year 5 Greek Day

We encourage year 5 children children to dress up as something Greek-related. This could be a God, Goddess, Myth, Athenian or Spartan! Some images of costumes can be seen below. There is no expectation to purchase a costume, homemade costumes are encouraged! Throughout this day, we will be looking at Alexander the Greek, the significance of Greek pottery, daily life as an Ancient Greek and the overall greatest achievements. We believe that this workshop will be a valuable learning experience for your children and we hope that they will enjoy it.

This is part of the year 5 exit point. This unit has been part of their History curriculum and it will be a great opportunity for them to recap all of the brilliant things they have learnt throughout this topic.
