Year 3 Egyptian Day
During the Summer Term, the Year 3 children have been learning all about Ancient Egypt in our ‘Temples, Tombs and Treasures’ topic. We are excited to announce that we will be holding an ‘Egyptian Day’ on Wednesday 25th June. For this day, we would love to see the children dressed up like an Ancient Egyptian. Please be reassured that there is no expectation to buy a costume as they can quite easily be home made. Please see some ideas below:
As part of our engaging ‘Ancient Egyptian Day,’ your child will be immersed in the fascinating world of pharaohs and pyramids through a range of fun and creative activities.
We have a truly action-packed day planned, including:
-
Crafting beautiful Egyptian jewellery
-
Designing and creating magnificent pharaoh masks
-
Learning to write hieroglyphics using ink and feather quills
-
Building impressive playdough pyramids and tombs
-
Making our very own mummification decorations
-
...and many more exciting surprises!
To help us cover the cost of the materials for this enriching and hands-on experience, we would be grateful for a small donation of £2 per child. This is to be paid on Arbor.
We are confident that this day will be a memorable and educational experience for all the Year 3 children.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Miss Beagle and the Year 3 Team
